Exercise

Our goal is to get you to a place where return on your investment of exercise is greater than that which you put in. This means that each workout you are feeling stronger and more powerful than the previous workout, your coordination improves and the complexity of movement increases, and you can generally handle more physical stressors - allowing you to move through your day without feeling exhausted or sore the next day. 

Choosing the right exercises - building a strong foundation.

We first address range-of-motion deficits with Joint mobilization - hands-on bodywork therapy.

 

Second, we will give you corrective exercises that will build the specific strength to keep your new ranges-of-motion, as well as stretches that keep the tissues pliable, adapting to the changes you create.

​

Third we focus on building the strength to generation movement from your core. This incorporates calisthenics, stability ball training, Pilates and/or yoga poses.

​

Through every step of the process, you will be given awareness techniques that provide meaning to the exercises so that you are never lost or confused with what you should be feeling and its importance to the goals you have set out to achieve.

Progressive Exercise Training

As total stress decreases and internal health improves, we will progressively increase:

time/duration of exercise

intensity

complexity

optimal flexibility and stability

sport specific conditioning and power
