Injury Recovery and Structural Bodywork

Fascia, or the connective tissue, holds everything in place. It is the foundational matrix connecting all soft-tissues together, and into which all contractile cells attach. It is the scaffolding that holds in place our nerves and blood vessels. And, most profoundly, it is a communication web that informs and syncs all systems of the body.
Poor posture, scar tissue and chronic tightness limits muscles' ability to fully contract and elongate, inhibits nerve impulses, and slows down circulation limiting the capacity for nutrients to get to and heal injured areas.

Josh uses hands-on manual therapy and speciality tools to calm the nervous system and ease fascial tension and open up the body's nerve and circulation pathways.

About Josh

Hi, my name is Josh Nunn. Welcome to my personal site. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas - playing team sports growing up and trasnsitioning to endurance sports while studying Kinesiology at UT - Austin. Rowing, kayaking, swimming, running, hiking and biking laid a foundation for the first part of my movement career. Movement has helped me navigate and overcome the challenges of injury, depression, loss, and personal and professional roadblocks. Movement has taught me how to love and care for myself - my body, my mind and my spirit. Movement eventually lead me to explore what health is and how to guide the body back into balance after acute and chronic trauma. Helping others connect-in with their bodies and find guidance from their own inner wisdom has allowed for faster and more integrative healing to occur. Exploring what it means to enjoy the process of awaking and exploring creative self-expression through movement has made be a better therapist and deepened my appreciation for the gift of our bodies. Through the years, I have chased this journey through western degrees and eastern healing arts, sprint and endurance races, weight training, yoga, pilates, sound baths, meditation and shamanic journeys, and fallen down many, many rabbit holes - which has lead to a well integrated health practice. The journey of hard-knocks has informed a balanced approach to what Living Health means to me.
